WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BELLA MARBLE?
● Non porous
● More consistent in supply
● Harder than most natural non processed stones
● Uniform internal structure
● No wastage, hidden cracks or flaws as in natural stone
● Because the slabs are bound with resin, they are more flexible and not subjected to cracking under flexural stress like a natural marble would be
● Lower water absorption, no microporosity
● Durable over time
● Design centric: various patterns are available
MARBLE VS QUARTZ
● Marble capacity is 20X the available capacity of quartz slab due to the manufacturing process.
● Marble is more affordable than quartz, particularly in vertical applications.
● Quartz is pressed a single slab at a time, limiting capacity where as marble is pressed into blocks.
● Quartz capacity is significantly constrained virtually eliminating the availability of thinner format slabs.
RESIN BONDED VS CEMENT BONDED
Resin is non toxic and increases the performance of the stone, lowering its water absorption, providing flexural stability and significantly increasing the hardness when compared to cement bonded slabs.
Cement is porous and therefore the stone has very high water absorption, with little to no flexural strength. Because cement is the binder the product is very soft and easily scratched and etched.
WHY MARBLE COMPOSITE?
Price
One of the most important considerations when selecting a solid surface material is its cost. When buying natural marble, such as Carrara, marble quarrying and cutting costs are included, and this makes natural marble more expensive when compared to engineered marble which does not need to be quarried and is produced at a manufacturing facility.
Appearance
Engineered marble is extremely useful for projects in which a level of consistency needs to be achieved with a durable stone. This product offers an extremely wide variety of color and pattern. The Terrazzo products are currently on the cutting edge of design aesthetics.
Durability
Engineered marble is higher in performance compared to a non processed marble and therefore more durable over time.
Performance
Marble Composite is worked in the exact same way as a natural non processed stone with none of the challenges and associated risks when compared to fabricating marble. Due to the resin binder, the performance characteristics of this product are superior in every aspect when compared to natural marble.
